If you go to Heligoland on a pleasant summer day, you can expect company. All those ferries from the Friesland Islands, the Jutland Peninsula and Hamburg bring a pretty good volume of passengers. Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't worth the trip.

As you can see in the photos above, the paths are paved with bricks, making for easy walking along the cliffs, and there are plenty of lookout points to from which view the birds.
