The absence of cars on Langeoog obviously means there also are no taxis. Upon arrival at the ferry dock passengers board the narrow-gauge train for the short trip to the center of town. Luggage is transferred to the train automatically. From the station in town you walk to your hotel or vacation house, so bringing light-weight or rolling luggage is a good idea. Some handcarts, locally called Bollerwagen, are available (generally the property of the hotels). The train ride is free, included in the fare for the ferry trip from Esens. -
