Le Tréport harbor

Le Tréport, the northernmost town of the Côte d'Albâtre, is quite old yet still fairly small with a population of around 6,500. Without the sprawl of modern construction around it, the town retains much of the antique architectural character. That said, it has been quite developed for tourism and is a busy resort with lots of partying during the summer. We went in November and were happy to have missed the crowds. The dramatic cliffs of the Normandy coast, some rising over 120 meters (almost 400 feet), begin here and stretch southward to the Cap de la Hève at Le Havre.
